Partnership

Please join the Metastatic Breast Cancer Project today.

Our project works by reaching out across the county and ask patients with metastatic breast cancer to participate in this project by sharing a portion of their stored tumor samples and copies of their medical records. We have designed a website (mbcproject.org) that allows patients and their families to learn about the research we are doing and sign an electronic consent form to participate. Once patients have agreed to enroll, we will locate their medical records and tumor tissue and provide any resources necessary for the physicians and hospital staff to send the materials. This approach will allow patients who don’t currently have the opportunity to participate in research – the vast majority of cancer patients in the U.S. – to say “Count me in” and participate in genomics research directly.

The Foundation is excited to be a member of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance.

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance unifies the efforts of its members to improve the lives of and outcomes for those living with metastatic breast cancer and their families through increasing awareness and education about the disease and advancing policy and strategic coordination of research funding specifically focused on metastasis that has the potential to extend life, enhance quality of life and ultimately to cure.
